Stick Welder

Jaberu Recruitment are working in Partnership with our client to source a skilled Stick/ MMA Welder to join our clients project team. You will be based between the Forth Rail and Tay Bridges.

As Stick Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, including Stick welding, while ensuring high-quality standards and safety protocols are adhered to. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication techniques and the ability to work with different materials, including sheet metal and 6-10mm fillet weld.

Responsibilities

• Perform Stick welding on various materials, ensuring precision and quality in all welds.
\n
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication and assembly tasks.
\n
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
\n
• Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
\n
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
\n
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
\n
• Assist in the fabrication of components as per project specifications, ensuring accuracy in measurements and assembly.

Qualifications

\n
• Proven experience in welding, with proficiency in Stick welding techniques.
\n
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
\n
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication processes.
\n
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
\n
• Experience working with sheet metal is advantageous.
\n
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
\n
• A commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace is essential.

Must be willing to work nightshift and weekends.
