Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Birmingham Hospital Site £35,000 - £38,000 + Benefits Days shifts & 4 on 4 off shifts available Multiple Positions Available | Permanent A leading Global Facilities Management company is currently seeking multiple experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join their team on a prestigious hospital contract in Birmingham. These are additional roles to the existing team. The Role As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a large hospital site, ensuring all mechanical systems and plant equipment remain fully operational and compliant. You will work within a busy healthcare environment where attention to detail, reliability, and a strong understanding of building services maintenance are essential. Key Responsibilities Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance Maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and building services systems Working on pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, pipework, valves, HVAC systems, and associated equipment Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical issues efficiently Supporting compliance and ensuring all work is completed to required standards Liaising with the site engineering team and client representatives Ensuring health & safety procedures are always followed Completing maintenance reports and documentation accuratelyRequirements NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC, or equivalent Previous experience within commercial maintenance or facilities management Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience Experience working within critical environments is advantageous Good communication skills and a professional approachDesirable: Hospital or healthcare maintenance experience AP knowledge Multi-skilled experienceWhat's On Offer £35,000 - £38,000 Shifts to choose - Days or 4 on 4 off Overtime opportunities Company pension Holiday allowance Ongoing training and development Genuine career progression within a leading UK FM business Stable, long-term contract environmentThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer looking to progress their career within a respected facilities management company operating in a critical healthcare setting.
