Essendine, Rutland (near Stamford, Lincolnshire) £40,000 £45,000 per annum Permanent, Full-Time

Joinery Manager & Senior Cabinet Maker Opportunity:

\n

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, specialist manufacturer of bespoke kitchens, fitted furniture and architectural millwork, based in Essendine, Rutland. Producing furniture-grade cabinetry of exceptional quality, their projects span high-end residential properties across the UK, USA and internationally.

\n

This is a senior, permanent position for an experienced Joiery Manager and Senior Cabinet Maker ready to take on a Workshop Foreman or team manager role. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with previous supervisory or management experience in a cabinetry, joinery or furniture manufacturing environment and equally from those who have previously run their own cabinetmaking or joinery business and are now looking to bring that breadth of experience into an employed senior role within an ambitious, growing manufacturer.

Joinery Manager / Senior Cabinet MakerResponsibilities:

\n

Lead day-to-day workshop operations while remaining hands-on in production

\n

Manufacture bespoke kitchens and fitted furniture to the highest standards

\n

Read and interpret technical and workshop drawings

\n

Oversee workshop production planning, allocation and workflow management

\n

Monitor progress against programme requirements and delivery schedules

\n

Maintain and enforce quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process

\n

Support, mentor and develop junior and mid-level members of the workshop team

\n

Assist with machinery setup, maintenance and workshop organisation

\n

Work closely with project managers and designers to resolve technical issues

\n

Support installation teams where required

\n

What We Are Looking For

\n

Minimum 10 years experience in bespoke cabinetry, joinery or architectural millwork

\n

Proven experience managing, supervising or leading a workshop team or having previously run your own cabinetmaking or joinery business

\n

Strong technical knowledge of furniture and cabinet construction

\n

Ability to work from detailed technical and workshop drawings

\n

Excellent organisational and communication skills

\n

High attention to detail and a genuine passion for quality craftsmanship

\n

Experience with premium residential projects (desirable)

\n

Knowledge of veneered and solid timber construction (desirable)

\n

CNC or modern manufacturing experience (desirable)

\n

Full UK driving licence (preferred)

\n
