\nABOUT THE ROLE
\nAs a HVAC / Gas multiskilled Engineer, you will be part of our National engineering team, responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial and retail sites. You will ensure HVAC / Gas systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory and client requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WITHIN YOUR SPECIFIED AREA
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
\nCarry out PPM tasks in line with SFG20, statutory requirements, and contract specifications.
\nMaintain and service HVAC and gas plant including:
\nCommercial gas boilers and heaters
\nAHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF, split systems
\nPumps, valves, fans, controls, and associated plant
\nEnsure all works are completed proactively, efficiently, and to the required standard.
\nReactive Maintenance & Fault Finding
\nDiagnose faults across both HVAC and gas systems, completing repairs within SLA requirements.
\nMinimise downtime through effective troubleshooting and first-time fix focus.
\nEscalate complex issues to the helpdesk or Contract Manager where appropriate.
\nCompliance & Health & Safety
\nEnsure all gas works are completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and current legislation.
\nEnsure HVAC works comply with F-Gas regulations, manufacturer guidance, and company procedures.
\nMaintain site logbooks and ensure accurate compliance documentation is completed and uploaded via the CAFM system.
\nWork strictly in accordance with company H&S policies, RAMS, and statutory requirements.
\nQuotations & Remedial Works
\nIdentify remedial works and produce accurate, commercially sound quotations, including:
\nCorrect parts identification
\nRealistic labour allowances
\nClear scope and methodology
\nCommunication & Client Liaison
\nCommunicate professionally with clients, helpdesk, supervisors, and contract managers.
\nProvide clear updates on works completed, defects identified, and follow-on actions required.
\nAlways act as a professional ambassador for Linaker.
\nAsset, Van & Equipment Management
\nMaintain van stock, tools, test equipment, and calibration devices.
\nEnsure company assets are stored, maintained, and reported correctly.
\nParticipate in the on-call rota where applicable.

\nNVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration / HVAC (or equivalent)
\n F-Gas Category 1
Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
\nCity & Guilds COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety
\nCCN1 Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety
\nCDGA1 Non-Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Direct Fired Heating Appliances
\nCODNCO1 Changeover Domestic to Non-Domestic Core
\nCIGA1 Non-Domestic Indirect Gas-Fired Heating Appliances
\nCPA1 Combustion Performance Analysis
\nCENWAT Domestic Central Heating/Hot Water Boilers
\nICPN1 Non-Domestic Pipework & Fittings
\nTPCP1 / TPCP1A Testing & Purging
\nACRIB Gold Skills Card (Desirable)
\nUnderstanding of F-Gas compliance and environmental regulations.
\nAir Source Heat Pump (ASHP) or Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) (Preferred)
\nExperience with larger complex sites, or critical plant systems (e.g. chillers, large AHUs, Boilers).

\nExperience
\n25 years experience in commercial gas maintenance.
\nExperience within a mobile FM environment desirable.
\nStrong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
\nProven commercial HVAC / Gas maintenance experience
\n Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
\n Full UK Driving Licence
\n Strong understanding of Health & Safety
ACRIB Gold Skills Card (Desirable)
\nUnderstanding of F-Gas compliance and environmental regulations.
\nElectrical qualification or knowledge
\nAsbestos awareness (Desirable)
\nExperience working under the SFG20 framework for maintenance schedules.
\nExperience with larger complex sites, or critical plant systems (e.g. chillers, large AHUs).
\n5 Years Industry Experience in similar position (Preferred)
\nAir Source Heat Pump (ASHP) or Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) (Preferred)
\nTake part in the on-call rota
