HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver

Job description:

Careermakers Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Tipper Drivers on behalf of a well-established client based in the Irlam area. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers with muck-away experience looking for regular weekday work with competitive pay and no handballing involved.

You will be paid:

• £14.35 £16.08 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience
\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Operate a Class 2 tipper truck to transport materials (e.g., aggregates, sand, gravel) to various sites
\n
• Safely load and unload using the vehicles tipping mechanism no manual handling required
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries across designated routes
\n
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects
\n
• Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding routes and updates
\n
• Maintain accurate delivery records and vehicle condition reports
\n
• Comply with all relevant road safety, transport legislation, and company policies
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Muck-away experience is essential
\n
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
\n
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card
\n
• Minimum 2 years Class 2 driving experience (for insurance purposes)
\n
• Strong working knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations
\n
• A professional, punctual, and safety-first approach
\n
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major convictions)
\n
